In the first two weeks of May 2010 a group of 12 martial arts enthusiasts visited Sangmukwan in Seoul, South-Korea to participate in our HKD Spring Camp. For those who are interested in doing something similar I am glad to announce that we have started making plans for our HKD Autumn Camp. The training camp will last two weeks and on week days there will be four training sessions a day.

On Saturdays there is an adjusted program with other activities like going hiking, a trip to the begi jang (place where you can test your sword skills) or going to the IHF headquarters to join a seminar over there. Sunday is your day of and you can go around Seoul either on your own or with a guide. To get an idea of what the camp is like, please have a look at our photo album.

IHF members with the required time in grade can ask to be tested for their next rank (up to 4th dan). Costs for the test depend on your current rank. If you want to be tested you should state this in advanced. Permission from your teacher is needed as well.

The costs for the camp (excluding your travel costs) are $500 (400 euro) per person per week. This excludes air travel to South-Korea. For this you will get three meals a day, a place to sleep, lots of training and a super vacation. We cannot provide you with a visa to enter South-Korea. If you need a visa you are expected to take care of that yourself.

The official start of the HKD camp is on October 4th, but participants are expect to arrive on October 2nd or 3rd and the camp ends on October 16th with a weapon seminar at the IHF headquarters. Payments can be made in advanced by bank or on the day of arrival in cash.
